Public Server Rules
If you break any of the following rules, you will be warned, and if you continue to break them, banned. With the decision of the length and severity of the punishment detailed below. Punishments operate on a 3 strike basis.
However, this is only a guide; the admin will determine the punishment that he/she best see fit.

Radio Commands and Text Spamming
When a player types duplicate messages 5 times in a row in 2 minutes, and without significant posting in between (to be judged by the admin present). Gibberish is also classed as Text Spamming.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Mute for 15 minutes
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Mic Spamming
A player is allowed to play music using their in game microphone/HLSS as long as it does not annoy the players present. If it is starting to annoy those present or any admin present, a vote may be requested/made. If the votes results in the player's music being deemed annoying, it must be switched off. A player using the mic to make weird noises that is not perceived as a joke amongst the other players present is also classed as Mic Spamming.
First Offence - Admin requests you turn the music off
Second Offence - Mute for 30 minutes
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Excessive Knifing
A certain amount of knifing is allowed for gaining field advantage or hindering the opponent's ball control. Although, stabbing or slashing any player more than 3 times in 1 minute is not allowed
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Knifing the Goalkeeper
Knifing of the Goalkeeper is not allowed whilst the Goalkeeper is within 20 yards of their goal. Accidental knifing can be overlooked. (The definition of which player is the Goalkeeper and if the knifing was accidental is left up to the admin present)
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Blocking the Goalkeeper
Blocking of the Goalkeeper is not allowed whilst the Goalkeeper is within 20 yards of their goal. This rule refers to the restriction of movement by a player on the Goalkeeper. (The definition of which player is the Goalkeeper and if a player is breaking this rule is left up to the admin present)
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Pornographic Sprays
As ACSSL servers are unrestricting upon age, any pornographic sprays created by a player are not allowed. (The definition of whether or not the image is pornographic is up to the admin present)
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Ban for one hour
Third Offence - Ban for one week

Bunny Hopping
Excessive bunny hopping is illegal in the public server, as defined here. If a player breaches the 1 hop limit, the following will be used.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Team Killing
An intentional team kill is not allowed in the public server, and will be punished by the admins. The intention of the kill will be decided by the admin present, and if they deem it to be severe enough, they may skip the first offence punishment.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Stealing
Stealing off of a teammate is also not allowed in the server, as it is counter-productive. A steal is defined as another player kicking the ball away from a teammate whilst he is within reasonable control or proximity of the ball. Again the admin present will define the circumstances of this definition.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Racism & Abuse
Any form of racism or abuse is strictly not allowed in the ACSSL servers, and you will be punished very quickly for it. Racism will not be taken as a joke. You may even be punished severely for it if the case is extreme.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Not Playing Properly
As the motd says, 'This server is for people who wish to play CS:S Soccer properly, and seriously', meaning if you do not wish to play seriously, you will be punished. Standing on the nets, sitting or walking in the stands or commentary box for no valid reason, or just acting like an idiot and not playing at all will incur the following.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Slaying
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Showing Respe
ct and Obeying Admins
When playing on any of our servers you are expected to respect each and every player that is simultaneously playing on that server. If an admin is lead to believe that you are not showing respect to players on this server you will be punished. Also, if you decide to deliberately ignore an admin's instructions or orders then you will be punished accordingly.
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - Kicking
Third Offence - Ban for one day

Fourth Offence
Once a player has been subject to the third offence punishment, and has returned to the server after their ban, if they break the same rule that they were banned for again, they will straight away be banned for a month. In the case of a fifth offence we will then be forced to issue a permanent ban on the offender.

Note: The act of stealing the ball off teammates, overcrowding the ball (choosing to contest a ball that one or more teammates is closer to), pushing the ball by walking into it, or any other general stuffing around is seen as disrespectful, and excessive amounts of this behaviour will be result in any punishment the admin present wishes.

League Match Rules

League Format
• The ACSSL 1st Division contains two parts, a Regular Season and a Finals Series
• Any team entering the competition in its duration will be able to make up their lost matches
• In the Regular Season, all teams will play each other twice, in a league format. The following points system is used:
   – Win - 3 points
   – Draw - 1 point
   – Loss - 0 points
• A bye counts as nothing. No match played. No points. No goals
• The final placings of teams on the league table from first to last is determined by the following:
   – Highest number of points accumulated during the Regular Season
If 2 or more teams are level on points accumulated, the following will be applied, in order, until 1 of the teams can be determined as the higher ranked
   – Highest goal difference
   – Highest goals scored
   – Highest number of points accumulated in matches between the teams concerned
   – Highest goal difference in matches between the teams concerned
   – Highest number of goals scored in matches between the teams concerned

• The top 4 placed teams at the end of the regular season will enter into the Finals Series - which contains the following matches:
   – Major Semi Final (Match A) - Played between the 1st and 2nd placed teams in the Regular Season
   – Minor Semi Final (Match B) - Played between the 3rd and 4th placed teams in the Regular Season
   – Preliminary Final (Match C) - Is played between the winner of Match B and the loser of Match A
   – Grand Final (Match D) - Is played between the winner of Match A and the winner of match C

Match Format
• Every Regular Season and Finals Series match will last 1 hour. They will be split into the following format:
   – One period of 20 minutes game play
   – A break of 5 minutes
   – One period of 20 minutes game play
   – A break of 5 minutes
   – One period of 20 minutes game play

• During the Finals Series and Relegations, in the event that a match is tied at the end of full time, another period of 10 minutes will be played as extra time. If the match is still undecided, a Golden Goal period will commence in which the next team to score is victorious.

Match Rules & Regulations
• The time will be recorded by the console/server and referees. The referee will start the time limit through the ref script. The time remaining per period will be displayed on the scoreboard.
• The referees will be looking for the following rule breaches:
   – Blocking the keeper to prevent him from being able to save a shot.
   – Goalie knifing, any foul commited on the keeper inside the keepers box, accidental or intentional will result in a warning.
   – Coming back to life by re-entering the server, after being killed by the ball
   – Trapping the ball in the corner on purpose
   – Bunny hopping (as defined here)
   – Knifing any of the opposing players four times within a one minute time frame
• After any of these rule breaches, the player should be warned (excluding keeper blocking), if they continue they will be slayed, if they keep continuing they will be slayed again, and any further continuation of rule breaching will result in a ban from the match, leaving their team to play with four for the rest of the match. The player sent off will also not be illigeble to play the next match.
• If during the match the score board happens to malfunction or the referee is faced with a major dispute he may pause the score board (effectively stopping play/disallowing any goals) and freeze all players on the field to dispute it.

Penalty kicks
   – Are no longer to be taken

Mercy Rule
   – When a goal difference of 25 is met, the match will be concluded and the stats will be added based this result.

4 Minimum Players
   – Each team must have at least 4 players present for their scheduled league match. If one team does not have the required number of players 10 minutes after the initial kick-off time, then that team will automatically forfeit the match to a 25-0 scoreline.

Forfeiting
   – If a team forfeits the match before it is finished, the following must be viewed:
   – The opposing captain must agree to this forfeit
   – The forfeiting teams final score stays the same
   – But the opposing team's score is raised. Their final score will be the total of goals already scored, plus the time remaining in the match, times their goal ratio from the completed minutes of the match.

Bunny Hopping
Bunny hopping is restricted, but only in certain cases. It is restricted where:
• The offending player has just knifed an opposition player, with a knife launch jump
• That offending player is then allowed to jump once as they land, which has been titled a bunny hop by this community
• This jump propels them forwards in some cases.
• They are only allowed that one jump after the knife launch jump
• Any more than one will result in a breach of this rule.
• The player offending should be warned to stop by the referee, and then if they break this rule again, slayed.

Substitutions
• Teams may make substitutions during the designated 5
• There is no limit to the number of substitutions they can make during these breaks.

Emergency Substitutions
• Allows a team to take a player off the field because their performance or commitment to the match is being negatively affected and out of their control (herein 'the affected player').
• The team of the affected player, may replace them with one of their players, who was in Spectator Mode (substitutes bench)
• The affected player does not have to have left the field when a replacement player comes onto the field, but must not be taking part in the game
• Emergency substitutions will be split into two groups, one called 'Unintentional disconnect' and one called 'Intentional disconnect'
• If the affected player fulfills one of the following 'Unintentional disconnect' criteria, they may be substituted straight away and are allowed back into the server, then must come back on the field for the same person that replaced them, as soon as they are able. Only two unintentional disconnect emergency substitutions may be made per team, per period
   – Their ping as shown on the scoreboard exceeds 100 and they are showing signs of lag
   – They time out. Bringing up the (User has Timed Out) message in the console
   – Their connection closes. Bringing up the (Connection Closed) message in the console
   – They get kicked from the server and the console says this is because their Steam Account is being used in another location
   – Accidentally disconnect. Bringing up the (Disconnected by User) message in the console. Though they must resume their place in their team on the field within 1 minute of doing this. Otherwise they cannot play again in that period
   – Conditions, lag should be extended to include latency spikes, packet loss and fps loss; must inform the ref
   – Confirm "Needs a mention that the unintentional substitution is considered confirmed upon the physical spawning of the player involved"

• An 'Intentional disconnect' means that the player has committed one of the following. This means that they are not allowed to come back into the server during the rest of the match. Only one intentional disconnect emergency substitution may be made per team, per match
   – The affected player must leave the game immediately due to outside commitments

• If a condition is not listed above, it means it is an unacceptable reason, and therefore will not be permitted in a League Match.

Match Rescheduling
Any match can be rescheduled, but there are conditions:
• Both captains must agree on the rescheduling
• You must notify Andi, Edgeamacated or Statica of your requested change, AND have it completed 24 hours before your scheduled match or requested new match day
• It cannot be rescheduled within 2 hours of another match
• Your rescheduled match must stay within the same Round as it was originally scheduled
• It must also be rescheduled on or 1 day from the regular scheduled match days of Friday to Sunday.

Awards
• An awards system will be used through the season, using the Referee's votes for the best three players of the match
• There are 2 awards you can win. Player of the Month, and Player of the Season.
• The Referees will decide together who the best three players of the match were, in the following system:
   – 3 points to the best player
   – 2 points to the second best player
   – 1 point to the third best player
• These points will be tallied throughout the season, and kept secret.
• The points awarded during a calendar month will become the Player of the Month award, announced on the front page
   – This will happen every month that matches are played
• Then at the end of the season, the entire season's points will be tallied and the highest point getter will be given the Player of the Season award.

Team Line-up
• Each league team can only have a maximum of 8 members.
• If the team wants to change a current member of it's team or add to it's existing roster, a message must be sent to Andi, Edgeamacated or Statica 24 hours before the first match of the respected round. If this is not accomplished the player will not be eligible to play until the next round.
• If a certain player does not appear on the official ACSSL team page for his respected team, he/she is not eligble to play.
• If a player leaves their current team to join another, they will not be allowed to rejoin the team they left for 4 weeks. If a player leaves their team but doesn't join another team, they are allowed to rejoin the team they left at any time. This cannot be exploited by saying you were teamless before joining the new team.

State of Origin Rules

States
• All 8 Australian States and Territories are represented in our State of Origin tournament
• But due to low player numbers from the smaller States, only 4 States are properly represented. These 4 States are accompanied by 1 smaller State each, to make sure that no player from a smaller State is left out. The teams are:
   – New South Wales and the ACT
   – Queensland and the NT
   – South Australia and Western Australia
   – Victoria and Tasmania
• These teams will all play under the title of the largest State
• The largest State is defined by the number of ACSSL players from that state

Tournament Format
• The State of Origin tournament abides by all regular season League Match Rules, unless herein modified
• The State of Origin is a simple knockout tournament format
• Each State is drawn into a semi final, the winner of which progresses to the Grand Final, and the loser to the 3rd & 4th Playoff
• Each match's format is the same as a regular league match, that being:
   – One period of 20 minutes game play
   – A break of 5 minutes
   – One period of 20 minutes game play
   – A break of 5 minutes
   – One period of 20 minutes game play
Nobody is allowed to leave the server during the 5 minute breaks and all players will be frozen for the duration

Player Selection
• To be eligible to represent their State in the State of Origin tournament, a player must have been either:
   – Born in the State they wish to represent, or
   – The State they wish to represent, is the first State they lived in once arriving to Australia from overseas
• Any player meeting these criteria may be selected in their State team
• Each State's team must comprise of at most 8 players, and at least 5.
• The team is also allowed to have 3 reserve players, who are not allowed to enter the match server at any point, unless a player from the first team fulfils one of the Emergency Substitution rules.
• Any State team is allowed to drop or bring in players as it wishes, in between the Semi Final and the Grand Final or 3rd & 4th Playoff.

Kral Intercontinental Cup Rules

General Rules
• Each game will consist of 2, 15 min periods. If scores are level after 30 mins, 10 mins of extra time will be played. If there is still no result, it will be sudden death golden goal until a team finally secures victory.
• No glitch goals will be counted. Therefore, in the event a glitch goal is scored, the round will be restarted, and if applicable, players that were killed before the glitch will be slayed as well, thus making the scenario as if the glitch never took place.
• 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.
• Spawn goals will be counted.
• 7 teams will play each other once in a league style format, with the top 4 qualifying for the semi-finals. 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd. The winners proceed to the final, as well as there being a 3rd place playoff.
• In the event of two teams on equal points, for and against will be used to decide placings. If in the event they are also equal, a playoff will be held to decide the 4th spot.

Squads
• All squad lists must be posted for your side in the Official KIC thread, which will come about at seasons end. Note, you must list ALL of your players, not just the ones you like the best.
• With regards to squads, provided they are listed in the Official KIC thread, you will be able to rotate your squad during the course of the matches. This should enable all players to receive at least 1 match for their respective sides, provided they are active within the community (Note: Playing once a month is not considered active).
• If a new player joins the league, they will be able to join their respective ethnicity, irrespective of the deadline that has since passed. However, if you are a league player and you have not registered either by contacting myself or Yiiannii, or posting in the Registrations thread BEFORE the 10th of September, you will not be eligible. There is no if buts or maybes about this, everyone was given ample time to join their squad. Complacency will not be accomodated.
• If you are found to be either trying to, or in the process of fielding an ineligible player, the respective ethnicities team will be stripped of all their points, as well as the offending player and captain receiving a 2 week suspension upon the commencement of ACSSL Season 3. Don't say you weren't warned.

Substitutions
• Subs can be made midway through a game, but only with the acknowledgement of an official. Therefore, if he does not announce in Admin text: "Next goal X will be replaced by Z for team A", then it is not considered an acknowledgement and you CANNOT take the field. If you disregard these rules, the refs will be given the power to slay the incoming player, effectively putting your team a man down.
• Also, if a team is found to have fielded 6 active players at any point, irregardless of any excuse given, the offending team will forfeit the present match. This will ensure that no side acts out of spite, or uses their departing player as a human shield before leaving the field.
• There is no limit to substitutions made during the game, as long as the referee has acknowledged the impending substitution.

Other
• Each side MUST provide two referees. There is no if, buts, or maybes about this. If you do not, your team will not be entered in the KIC. This saves a few referees having to ref over 20 games. Each game is only 30 mins long, so if all of you have 30 mins to spare playing in the KIC, then you also have 30 mins to spare reffing a game.
• Games will take place throughout the week, which is why it is a good idea to rotate your squad, for those that have weekday committments. It might also be an idea to appoint a few VC's if you are captain, to avoid the possible scenario of both your VC and C being unavailable to attend a match.
• If there is something you are not sure of or needs clarifying, contact Robbie.

FAQ
What is the Australian Counter-Strike Soccer League?
The Australian Counter-Strike Soccer League (or ACSSL), is a league like any other Counter-Strike: Source league, but is based solely around a map titled ka_soccer_2006_v3, by lolobubu.
We basically play a league format of football with slightly adapted rules to suit the map.

Where can I download ka_soccer_2006_v3?
Get it from our downloads section, here.

I really suck at playing ka_soccer. Can you help me?
There aren't any tutorials or help sites for playing this map, but the general tips and rules are:
• The game is played by knifing the white ball into the rectangular goals at each end of the field. Once the ball has gone in one of these goals, the entire team that conceded the goal is killed
• When trying to hit the ball, use your knife and right mouse button (or primary shoot) and whilst standing, aim between the top of the ball to a few metres in front of it. If you wish to crouch, aim at the centre of the ball.
• If you can't seem to hit the ball, just keep trying different methods, such as knifing earlier or later, and you will eventually get it
• It is also best if you are just starting to learn the game, to not go as goalkeeper. Where timing and skills are needed the most
• Don't go for the ball if one of your teammates is close to it. Chances are you won't get possession, and you will annoy your teammates
• It is usually best if only one person from your team is close to the ball at one time
• Also, when the ball is in the open. Check to see if you will be first to the ball from your team, only then should you go for it. Use your radar to make sure as well
• If you do go for the ball, and aren't first there from your team, you are classified as having stolen the ball. Then your team will usually try and keep the ball away from you. So try and apologise if you do accidentally steal it
• If you want a teammate to pass to you, find space, and wait or call for a pass
• For the most part, experience is the only way you can get good at the game. Just keep at it, if you're passionate, and you will get there

• But, if you get stuck in game and need help, look for a player who wears one of the ACSSL team tags and ask them. They should be more than willing to help. (You can find all of the ACSSL team tags on each team's page, on this website)
Just don't believe it if they tell you to press F10.

I want to join a team. How do I do that?
Join our forums, and start posting. Put a message up in the Agent Department stating your availability if you want. Though the best way is to get good at playing the map (ka_soccer_2006_v3), and whilst in one of the servers, impress someone from a clan by playing well. You could mention your availability to them, though the best way is to get spotted and recommended by one of the player's in a team. So make friends, and they'll start talking if a player is needed, maybe your name will pop up. Usually to be noticed you will have to have been playing well in one of the servers for at least a week.

There aren't any available places in teams or nobody wants to sign me. What can I do?
You can also create a team of your own. It's done just like creating a regular clan on CSS, but you will need at least 6 players in your team, and a maximum of 8.
But to gain entrance into the league, you will need to complete this team application form, which will be reviewed by our team. You will need to have a committed team to be given entry.
Keep in mind that the season may be too far progressed to give your new team entry into the league right away.
