Public Server Opening Soon

I'm delighted to announce that the new CSSL public server is back on track, and in my hands ^^. The FTP problem has been solved, as Silva finally got back to me. This means that the new Official ACSSL Public Server will be up and running this Friday night (23/02/07).

At the moment I'm doing things for the server on the technical end, just getting it ready and back to the way it was with ATOM.

Further good news is that I'll soon be buying the Private League server, and we'll be able to start team training before the league starts. So stay tuned for info about that too.

Server Delays

I realise I must sound like a broken record in saying this, but there will be further delays with the new public server that was due to open today.

Messageboy has encountered problems with our new server's ftp, provided by Silva-Hosting, such technical errors with the FTP were unforseen and we apologise for lost pub playing time.

The problem with the FTP is not on our side, and MB has tried contacting Silva-Hosting dozens of times, including phone calls, but to no success in getting them to actually do something.

So, please, keep checking this site for further updates, as I'm sure it won't be long before the server's up. Just as soon as Silva-Hosting decide to fix our problem. We will keep you informed as soon as another development arises.

Welcome to the Official ACSSL Website

I am happy to announced this new site, which is only possible due to weenie's work. With this new site, I believe that we will be able to draw new teams to the league, be able to run things more smoothly and attract more members.

I've been nagged by weenie for over 5 days to write up this news report.. which I keep finding hard to do. I've never been one to make big detailed speeches. Meh.

I can announce, that with the new site, a new 20 player slot server run by sliva-hosting.net will be operating as of Monday the 19th of February. It will be used as a public server around 4 days a week, whilst the other 3 days will be host to league matches. So check back here for updates closer to launch, as well as the IP of the new server will be posted here.

Meaning there will be 3 league matches per week. Very exciting. ^^

At the moment we're not certain how the ping will be on this new server, yet hopefully, and probably, everyone will get good pings, even Edge... If that's possible.

Along with the 20 player slot server, will soon come a 12 player slot private server. This will be used 24/7 for team training. So each day a team can train in it to prepare for league matches.

The 12 player slot private server won't be available immediately after the 20 player slot server, due to problems I'm currently having with Centrelink, who provide me with the money I need to run the servers.

Although this should be resolved soon, and the 12 player server will be up with the 20 player server. Depending on the amount of teams that enter the league between now, and the start of the season, another 24/7 training server may be bought.

Once the 12 player private server is up and running, we will start the league over again. The new fixture list will be updated on this site on the 21st of February, which means that we will not be creating the fixture list until just before that date.

So if you want to enter a team into the new league, go here, and do it quickly.

Hope to see ya in the server soon.

Rolling Updates part 2

A Team Application form has been added to the teams & table pages, now Captains of non-league teams may submit an application to us, to gain entry into the league. Your team must have a minimum of 6 players, and a maximum of 8. Though your team must be deemed to be committed to playing in the league before getting entry.

In my latest update I've also slightly modified the FAQ page to become a Rules & FAQ page, now containing the public server rules, and league match rules. As well as tweaking the mySQL coding in the tables & fixture lists for ease of use and presentation on the website

Rolling Updates part 1

I've started putting the rolling updates into place all over the site, from the little things you won't notice, but that help mb & I a lot, like mySQL databases to easily update the fixture lists and tables.

Then things that you will notice like the obvious changing of the fixture list, replacement of teams and changes to the Information page, which is now an FAQ page for new users.

Soon the forums will be complete, and fully functional, once mb has moved topics he's marked to be important.

Mb's also making a new fixture list for the new season, so the one in place currently will not be used in the coming season.
