Thugly - April's Player of the Month

We've finally come to the end of the first month of the Australian Counter-Strike Soccer League, and thus the award for the most outstanding player is to be presented to this month's winner, Thugly.

A player who has found himself at the heart of the Super Team Dynamic attack, working his magic from the left, helping his side to a healthy second place on the ACSSL ladder and helping keep a great goal difference for his team, but nonetheless supports a very poor English Premier League club.

Contention No More

I'm sure you would have heard of the discussions we've been having around the place regarding the substitution rules that were in place in the league. Well they've been refined now, to include more concrete reasons for emergency substitutions in the middle of periods. This means that the new subs rules set out on the rules page are the only ones to be used in a game, with any unlisted reasons for an emergency substitution is now not permitted. There are also conditions for these emergency substitutions, such as the affected player must resume the field of play in most cases. So please read up and understand the new revisions.

A few more player transfers have been happening around the place, so if you want to trial for a new team, there are spots available, just look around on the teams pages and you might find a spot available. I've also added a new section to the site for awards, in anticipation of the Player of the Month award that will be announced on the 29th of April.

New Team, New Fixtures, New Restriction

We've decided to allow Born 2 Pwn into the league after a short delay, mainly because we had to see if they or Angel Fire F.C. would be a more committed side. But now that AFC have collapsed, B2P have been given admission to the league. Dudekiller is the leader of this side and there's still one spot left, so message him on the forums if you want to trial for that spot.

With the 8th spot in the league now being filled, it means that the fixture list has to be updated, which I have done, so please make sure you check when your next match is now scheduled for. The only real changes you should notice are that this round's (Round 3) fixtures have been pulled forward by a day to include B2P's first match. Now as B2P have come into the league a little way into the season, it means that they will have to play 2 catch up matches, against Soccer Kings and The Dream Team. These will be organised at a time that will fit both captains. So for the players of B2P and those two teams, talk to your captains about when you are available and pay attention to the fixtures on this site, as they will change quickly.

The last thing I must mention is the new restriction we have put in place against bunny hopping. As voted by you guys, we have decided to control the bunny hopping to a maximum of one hop after knifing an opposition player. Please read the rules page to see this new restriction in depth.

TS and Kings Merge

As most of you will already know, Team Socceroos and Kings have decided to merge. Due to the crumbling foundations of both sides, they have decided to take their most dedicated players, and form the one team. Entitled Soccer Kings. This means fixture changes from matches to come and matches played. As well as the unfortunate event of creating 5, now unlisted, players.

At this point, all Team Socceroos matches will become byes. Including their previous match against The Dream Team. All Kings matches will now be played by the newly merged team, Soccer Kings, and the Kings match against Super Team Dynamic will stand.

Round 2 Postponed

We will officially be taking a week's break now for the Easter long weekend. That means there won't be any matches over the next 7 days. Check the fixture list for when your re-arranged match will be played.

So instead of Round 2 starting on the eve of Good Friday, it will begin on the 12th of April, with The Reapers playing HellSpawns.
The Dream Team should also expect to be playing their match against Blazers FC, as new Captains Enki and Wizard Hat will be doing their best to re-establish their side, and improve on their poor opening.
