A PotM and an end to Season 2 |
 |

|
Congratulations to September's Player of the Month, Zidane! Zidane has once again been the heartbeat of HS this season, scoring many crucial goals and his all action style electrifies minor premiers HellSpawns. Zidane got 6 votes this month, stamping his class on the league and possibly, his name on the Player of the Season trophy. Zidane also being the highest goalscorer for his side this season, his current goal count being a total of 50, just 2 goals behind first place for highest goals scored this season.

We're drawing to the conclusion of Season 2, which was shortened due to an ownership change midway through. In the penultimate games this season, 3rd place All Stars, who suffered a late season collapse to drop from 1st to 3rd, take on Obsidian, who secured their spot in the finals with a victory over fellow finals aspirants TDT. The winner of this, and the loser of the Major Semi Final between SK and HS (with the winner going through to the final on Sunday), will play off in a Preliminary final Saturday night, to determine the two finalists for ACSSL Season 2. We wish all players and sides good luck in the finals.
Secondly, after the completion of Season 2, we will hold our first ever Ethnic Cup competition which we have named the Kral Intercontinental Cup (named after the user who created the idea). There will be 7 teams, Arabs/Turks, Azns, Bogans, Irish, Outcasts, Poms and Wogs, all of their players hailing or having a close bloodline relation hail from the respective ethinicities, so there will be national/regional pride on the line in what should be a very enjoyable, and competitive tournament. If you have not submitted your Ethnicities team list for the competition, as well as the elected referees, do so now (contact Yianni) as the competition will be starting within the next two weeks. Fixtures will be up shortly, so stay tuned.
Finally, Season 3 is almost upon us, planned to begin after the Kral Intercontinental Cup. We do however plan to also have a short break before we begin season 3, most likely involving the relegations in order to determine which teams will take part in the following season. Yianni would like every captain of every team willing to participate in Season 3 to email him, clearly notifying him of that. If you are in fact a new team then you will also need to include your squad list (don't forget to submit a team application if you haven't already). The cut-off date will be 14th October at 11.59PM, all emails must be sent before this date. Any problems then please contact either myself of Yianni.

Season Upheaval |
 |
Due to the unfortunate demise of Fusion Football Stars mid season, we have to decided to put in place the fairest measures possible for all teams. It has been decided to make things fair for all parties concerned, all of the stats with regards to FFS, including both theirs and opposition sides, as well as wins have been removed from the existing databases.
We are sorry things have to go this way, but feel this is the best action for all teams involved.

With the departure of ACSSL founder w33nie, Robbie Fowler and myself will be taking over the reigns of the ACSSL League. We cannot thank w33nie enough for all his hard work over the past 12 months, as he has turned a dream of ours into a reality, and a thriving one at that.
It is now our turn to step up and continue on w33nies great work, something that Robbie and I will endeavour to do to the best of our abilities. However, we must remind you that we are both new to running/admining a league like this, so we must ask for your patience and understanding through the first few weeks. It will not be easy initially, but it will become easier as time passes so that's where we need you guys, the loyal members, to bear with us as we assume our roles. Please do not bug us about menial things like stats, we will get around to them when we have time, as both of us have fulltime work/school and a life of our own to deal with also, so like aforementioned, please don't bother us for un-necessary reasons.
We will do the best we can to ensure this league continues to be a resounding success, and with the loyal memberbase behind us, together we will make ACSSL even greater than what it is now. If you have any issues, either a mistake has been found somewhere or any other need to get in touch with us, contact either Robbie here or myself here.
Finally, one last thing... Play or GTFO. :)
Regards,
Robbie Fowler and Yiiannii, ACSSL Management.

| w33nie - August's Player of the Month |
 |
 |
As my last post and action as ACSSL leader and All Stars player, is to call myself the Player of the Month for August. Congratulations.. me.
But I'd just like to say thanks to this whole community, you've helped me along the way as a player and a person. I can safely say I haven't been part of, and never will be again, an online community as good as the Australian Counter-Strike Soccer League, and it's been a pleasure to supervise over the direction of this league. So thanks to everyone, and I'll no doubt see you later on, on the forums & over my Christmas holidays back at home. |

| Our Servers are Back |
 |
After a short downtime, the ACSSL servers are all back in action and working fine, just in time for Season Two of the ACSSL. There will be a couple of changes for the new season, the biggest is changing the map we play the league matches on, to ka_soccer_2006_v3 as well as the shortening of the length of the league. Season Two will be half the length of Season One, due mainly to the fact that the season could have lasted into next year with potential delays in Year 12 final examinations, as well as others outlined below. But a potentially huge even for all of us being Gamestah possibly casting some of our matches will have to be delayed by at least a short while, meaning they won't be able to cast the beginning of ACSSL Season Two, but hopefully will come on board later on this season. Other small changes include two new referees, Ellinas and Xpoze, who replace Awesome-X and Hrvat.
The new ACSSL server IP addresses are:
Public Server - 210.14.110.19:27030
Match Server - 210.14.110.19:27031
Match Server Source TV - 210.14.110.19:37030
